Installing the Arduino IDE

  • Go to the ofiicial Arduino website - https://www.arduino.cc/en/software/OldSoftwareReleases
  • Download the Arduino IDE - Locate "Software" section on the website and download the Arduino IDE for your operating system (Windows,Mac or Linux)
  • Once the download is complete,Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions.
  • Once the installation is complete ,Open the Arduino IDE
  • You should seea welcomescreen with a few options
  • Familiarize yourself with the software as you get ready to write your first code
